Since I was really young and our teacher in kindergarten took us to a ranch, I didn't want to eat meat anymore. But my parents wouldn't support me saying I was too young as if I'd become abnormal. But somewhere along the years I won. I've been a vegetarian for god knows how long (I believe you should be a vegetarian for yourself. Not to prove to others. So I'm sorry to say that I kinda get annoyed when people do and tell you their numbers.)I'm part chinese so I guess it wasn't such a switch in diet to not eat meat. An alternative for meat protein can be found in seafood /fish but if you don't eat that either, eggs work...and if you don't eat eggs, then try tofu. If you have any vegetarian indian friends, go pester their mothers about what they cook. Their diet is very sophisticated and healthy- it balances all the enzymes you will need to digest certain foods. I don't know a lot, but I know if you eat rice, you should eat some sort of bean with it. There's a vegetarian food pyramid on the Mayo Clinic Site so if you google that up you'll find a nutrition unit and get to the food pyramids. Not eating meat is very benefitial to your mind and body. You're rid of all these toxins that you don't need and there's no harm as long as you eat healthy or healthier. Eat junk foods and sugars in considerable amounts. Otherwise you'll get sick. Yes you will. And girls, be careful what you eat because you do need your irons and vitamins. Oh and if you don't drink milk either, don't let parents talk you down because orange juice (try to pick ones with less sugars or fresh squeeze) and soya milk also works!

Can teenagers really make a difference?
Teenagers? Yeah, right.
I'll believe it when I see it.
A small, but meaningful, difference.
I've been a part of real change.
Hell, yes! Bring it on!
