In the next 12 minutes, you can make a lasting contribution.
It's as easy as 1-2-3. Of course, if you want more, there's more.

First
Second
Third
      First, register.
Second, submit a journal entry to tell us about your activism.
Third, give  WINGS to others by commenting on their entries.

First, register .

Second, tell us about your activism by clicking on Submit Journal Entry at the top of the User Menu. Stay focused on your activities more than your ideologies. No form of activism is too big or too small. Everything matters. If you only submit one entry in your life, you've done something permanent. There might be a seven-year-old right now who in seven years from now will be looking for ideas on how to make a difference. Be here for that seven-year-old.

Third, read the journal entries of other members, and, if you find their work meaningful, give them  WINGS by commenting. Keep it positive! There are other places to bicker, not here. Be here for your fellow teen activists.

You want more?

First
Second
Third
Fourth, ask, answer, rant, rave, prod, praise in the forums. Fifth, suggest improvements to make this site rock. Sixth, invite every teen activist you meet.

Fourth, keep the conversation rolling in the forums . Every journal entry has a link to its own thread. Follow that thread and see where it leads. You might gain an ally. You might make a friend. You might learn something. You might teach something. You might feel a little bit better after talking with people who understand.

Fifth, this site is not a done deal. It's not a prepackaged "For teens, by teens, here's a little space for you to say something while a bunch of adults tell you the way it is" site. This site is what you make it. Make it great!

Sixth,  if you're in the halls or in the malls, and you see a girl wearing a peace pin or a support-the-soldiers pin, let her know she has a place here. If you're in a class or at a party, and a guy stands up against prejudice, send him this way. If you're in a group that is striving to make a difference, make sure that they are represented. Start right now by sending an e-mail invite to every teen activist in your addressbook.

You want even more?

Hey, wait!, every web designer with whom I spoke said that it's a waste of time to write so much. Everybody knows that teens are too dumb or too lazy or too apathetic for a text-heavy web site. Well, then, why are you still reading? Maybe, it's because the web gurus don't know jack about teens

SeventhIf you believe in this site. If you believe not only that teens can make a difference but also that teens do make a difference, think about adding this website to your list of projects. If you're too busy dealing with school, sports, activities, relationships, family in addition to your activist efforts, that's cool. If you weren't crazy busy, then this site would be meaningless to you from the start. If you're just too busy, check back when you can, and that's awesome. However, if you've got an extra hour or two per week that you can commit to this project, think about becomming a Co-Founder .

  • Allison6463 : Welcome JunkTeen and RecyclingLove. You two should check out the forums. They are a great way to connect with other members. Also, you can post a journal telling of some of the activism you partake in, as well as announcements and links. Be sure to check all of those out! :]
  • Allison6463 : For the new kids that don't know what to do, I would suggest the Forums. It would be a really nice way to get people connected. We just need to use them more. :
