WINGS

3.8

out of 5

Over the summer, I have been an intern with a campaign in my state titled Environment California. It is a summer long paid job mainly involving canvassing at local strip malls as well as home to home. As a summer job, it has provided me with a rewarding cause that I would have done regardless of pay, and allowed me to play a major part in a cause I greatly support. Also, its intuitive commission styled structure to canvassing is a great motivator for the interns in forms of friendly competition among themselves and further encouragement to work hard towards the cause. Overall, it has been a greatly rewarding experience that has made a significant impact on me. Local campaigns such as this can be found throughout the country at www.jobsthatmatter.org

Going through a program to do activism work is probably the best thing to do. By getting involved in a group, you can accomplish more and what you did is really great, in that way!

  • Allison6463 : Welcome JunkTeen and RecyclingLove. You two should check out the forums. They are a great way to connect with other members. Also, you can post a journal telling of some of the activism you partake in, as well as announcements and links. Be sure to check all of those out! :]
  • Allison6463 : For the new kids that don't know what to do, I would suggest the Forums. It would be a really nice way to get people connected. We just need to use them more. :
