I'm sure if you're reading this you too know a cyber bully. Maybe you've been bullied via the internet yourself, maybe you've even been a cyber bully a time or two (hopefully you've changed your ways since then). I encountered a cyber bully a while ago, but she wasn't just a cyber bully; she was someone I ACTUALLY knew. She said all these horrible rude things to me and it was upsetting yes, but I didn't let it get to me like some people do. Wasn't there a guy a few months ago who killed himself because a "friend" posted a video of him and a male lover? I just think people like the (the cyber bullies) need to think about what they're doing, to some people that won't be funny, it could be cruel and hurtful, it could lead someone to rage, drinking, depression or a combination. I've read online and seen on the news how some cyber bullies have actually been the reason people commit suicide. This isn't the only form of bullying but I feel like everyone does it, even if it's small. It still hurts. If you see a friend doing something and you know it will hurt someone, just tell them to stop. You could seriously change a series of events. Don't Bully.

At my school they talk to us about cyber bullying and just general bullying a lot. A lot of kids hate having to be forced to go to these assemblies but every now and then we have a speaker come in who makes a HUGE impact. Last year we had the dad of a boy who committed suicide due to bullying and cyberbullying come in. The dad was telling us the whole story about how the bully pretended to be this boy's friend and then led him to his suicide. He showed us pictures of his son and told us about how the suicide affected the whole family, this boy's sister was a straight A student and then she was the one to actually find him dead and it turned her whole school career around.I was crying the whole assembly. Think before you speak.

I have a friend (yeah, we're friends now) who was a HUGE cyberbully to me some years ago. I've never met her in person, but we've known each other for 5 years now. She was reported many times. Cyber bullying has hurt so many of my friends and also people I don't know. I agree, it has driven people to suicide.
Why do people take pleasure in hurting others? To hide their insecurities? To look tough? To be respected? I believe the best way to gain respect esp. online is by being nice! :)
