Hello everyone, recently I have been waken up to organic food and health products, but I am in a placement center (leaving in 27 days!!) Anyway,I changed my life around, and I calmly asked this placement center if I could start bringing in my own organic food, it would be raw foods, so it would require no cooking, and they would be able to keep it with them to ensure im not over eating.NOPE. They dont like this idea.
So I send a complaint, specifically asking them if they can respond with a non computer generated message. Nope. They send me a generated message. So I start a petition, and half the campus signs it, I again send this petition in a complaint form. Nope. More generated messages saying basically, we don't care. The Supervisor talked to me, said he will look into, hes not going to though.
I do not see why they don't want me to eat organic food, I explained carefully, and calmly, as I am a pacifist, that It would benefit my growth mentally and physically, and why the food they give us is terrible, and how, and explained all of it with studies and research. They still do not care, they more or less laugh upon this issue. It is ridiculous.
I don't see why they want me to eat this food. Does it really make sense? Its not like they would pay for any of it. This is a very good place, I will say that, but I dont like the incentives that they give us all this unhealthy food, and last time they were playing music about smoking weed, I mean, come on! It's a placement center! I get nothing for my good behavior now, and they don't care, they laugh at me and walk away like thjey think I'm joking. I'm not joking. I wish they would realize this.
This is my first ever activism attempt on anything, I obviously cannot change this place but I plan to do more. I will update my profile and everything so everyone can know a little more about me,thanks!

I know how it feels when you have valid reasons for doing what you're doing, you tell people that and they act like they just don't care and they must have their own way.
It's really annoying.
At my school, everyone has lunch together and like there's no variety so whatever's being served that day is what everyone has to eat and like the menu's the same every week. I haven't eaten at school in God-only-knows-how-long and I'm not planning to any time soon. Some kids have talked to the school about changing up their menu, making meals that everyone can eat available, creating a variety, bringing in healthier things and so on, but it's not working. They just don't really care. It's like whatever they think is what stands forever. Really sick.
But anyways, take a stand, let them know what you believe and don't stop till you get what you want and what's right, okay?
