I became aware of my sexuality at a young age, but it was so uneasy for me, that I just recently came out about a month ago. I am a 16 year old bisexual, and I've already found that indeed, I am treated different, no matter what people say. My goal with this experience is to educate people that there is no difference in the person due to their gender preference. There is the gay pride festival here in Seattle every year, and I plan to attend next year to prove to people that there is nothing wrong with the way I am.
Congrats on coming out :). I'd like to say that it is really great that you are going to that festival. I think more should participate in those since not only are you showing that you are strong and not afraid to be honest about yourself, your presence is also in support of the rest of those there with you. I hope you have fun!

Allison6463 : Welcome JunkTeen and RecyclingLove. You two should check out the forums. They are a great way to connect with other members. Also, you can post a journal telling of some of the activism you partake in, as well as announcements and links. Be sure to check all of those out! :]
Allison6463 : For the new kids that don't know what to do, I would suggest the Forums. It would be a really nice way to get people connected. We just need to use them more. :
